JC Master Qualified as the Legal Counsel on the List of the AIA
In order to expand insurance business in the Mainland China, the American International Assurance Co., Ltd (AIA) chose JC Master as legal counsel on their list to deal with issues related to insurance investigation, insurance disputes, labor law, etc. The Insurance Group at JC Master will provide full support and all-around legal services for the AIA.
The development of the AIA in the Mainland China started from 1992. It was the first foreign insurance company permitted to engage in the insurance business in the Mainland China. At present, the business of the AIA has expanded to Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces.

JC Master Provides Special Project Legal Service for an Investment Company for Its Investment in Coal Mines in XinJiang Province
XinJiang, with reserve of mineral resource estimated to account for 40% of the whole country, ranks first among the 31 provinces (cities, autonomous region). The reserves of 24 coal mines are more than 10 billion tons.
The investment company is cooperating with a local mining company in XinJiang to explore a coal mine located in Quasi-East Coalfield, the reserve of the mine no less than 4.6 billion tons. As the Special Counsel of the investment company, JC Master has organized a team led by Justin Ma, Senior Partner, to provide relevant legal services for the company to purchase the coal mine.
JC Master Provided Special Project Legal Services for an Investment Company Concerning Its Establishment of Industrial Parks in Liaoning Province

JC Master Participated in the Expert Review Conference Hosted by Jiangsu Fair Trade Bureau of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province
On December 31, 2009, JC Master Partner Jessica liu attended the expert review conference held by Jiangsu Fair Trade Bureau of Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province. The conference proposed to establish pre-alarm sites for foreign trade risk in Jiangsu Province. Jessica liu, one of the three external experts, cooperated with government officials of Jiangsu Fair Trade Bureau in reviewing and finalizing 10 pre-alarm sites for foreign trade risk to be set up soon. The main function of these sites is to provide early warning services for local scale exports in prevention of international trade friction.
Three Companies Filed IPO and Refinancing Applications with the CSRC
Three companies to which JC Master provided Special Project Legal Services successfully filed IPO and refinancing applications with the China Securities Regulatory Commission in December, 2009. Among these companies, one applied for Initial Public Offering, one listed company for Public Additional Issuance of A-shares and another listed company for Non-public Issuance of A-shares.
